3 Full-Body Exercises That Can Give You A Lean And Strong Body

Exercising each individual body part can be quite a task. Working out each individual muscle can take time, and you want to build your muscles evenly. Working out all of your muscles, rather than just a part of the body, can help give your body a lean and all-over stronger look. Full-body exercises can help you achieve this. Read on for some exercises that can work your entire body.

1. Planks

Planks can help strengthen your core and the muscles in your arms. Holding your body up for long periods of time can also help strengthen your back and your legs as well. Get on the floor and lay on your stomach with your legs out behind you. Get up on your hands as in a push-up, with your toes holding you up as well. Keeping your hands at shoulder level, keep your core tight and your back straight (not arched), and hold this position for at least 15 seconds to start. Move your time up with each time that you practice this move to keep it challenging.

2. Burpees

Burpees can also work your entire body, and they can also help you get some cardio in as well. Stand up straight, then crouch down with your hands in front of you on the ground. Jump your feet back so you are in a plank position, then jump your feet back so you are crouching again. Stand up straight again and jump straight up into the air. Repeat these steps again and again, doing as many as you can. Try adding more and more with each workout.

3. Weighted Squats

Doing squats with weights can help work out your whole body. Start using smaller hand weights, then work your way up to heavier weights when this exercise becomes easier. Hold the weights in either hand at your sides, then lower your body into a squatting position, keeping your feet at hip-width apart and pointed straight ahead. Repeat the squat over and over, trying to get to at least 10 reps to start. Add more weight and more reps to challenge you as this exercise gets easier.

These are just a few full-body exercises to help give you a lean and strong body. These can improve your cardio while also building muscle. Talk to a personal trainer about other full-body exercises you can do to help improve your muscle tone and work out your entire body.
